Pasadena Insulation& Air Duct ProsKeeping San Gabriel Valley homes cooler, cleaner and quieter

Valley summers push past 100°F and many homes here were built long before modern insulation. We insulate attics and walls, clean and seal ductwork, and clear dryer vents, all from our shop on North Fair Oaks.

What we find in Pasadena attics and crawlspaces

Craftsman and Spanish-style homes with little or no insulation

Many 1910s–1950s houses still have bare attic joists or a thin layer that settled decades ago.

Ducts hanging loose in raised-foundation crawlspaces

Disconnected or torn runs under the floor blow your heating and cooling into the dirt.

Smoke odor and fine ash inside the ductwork

Wildfire smoke from the foothills gets pulled into returns and settles in the duct lining.

Bedrooms that stay hot well after sunset

An uninsulated attic keeps radiating heat into the rooms below long into the evening.

Insulation

Insulation for attics, rooflines and walls

We start by measuring what's already there. Then we recommend the material that fits the space, whether that's batts between joists, foam at the roof deck, or rigid board on a wall.

Attic Insulation & Removal

We pull out flattened, dusty or rodent-soiled insulation and install new material to the depth your attic needs.

  • Old insulation vacuumed out and hauled away
  • Fiberglass batts or loose-fill blown in
  • Depth photographed before and after

Installer spraying foam insulation onto the underside of a roof deckRoof deck · ADUs

Spray Foam Insulation

Foam sprayed under the roof deck or between studs insulates and seals gaps in one step. A good fit for vaulted ceilings, ADUs and garage conversions.

  • Open-cell and closed-cell foam
  • Unvented attics and cathedral ceilings
  • Seals around pipes, wires and can lights
Ask about spray foam (626) 793-7342
Rigid foam boards fitted to a wall with foam-sealed seamsContinuous layer

Wall & Rigid Foam Insulation

Rigid foam panels give walls, additions and garages a continuous insulation layer, with every seam foamed shut.

  • Remodels, additions and garage rooms
  • Interior or exterior wall application
  • Seams and edges sealed against drafts
Ask about wall insulation (626) 793-7342
Air ducts & vents

Cleaner air moving through tighter ducts

Insulation and ductwork work as a pair. Once the attic is right, we make sure the air you pay to heat and cool actually reaches your rooms.

  • Crawlspace runs re-hung and reconnected
  • Mastic-sealed collars and boots
  • Insulated flex duct for new runs

Dryer Vent Cleaning

Long vent runs, including the ones that exit through the roof, collect lint fast. We brush and vacuum the entire line.

  • Roof and side-wall terminations
  • Damaged transition hose replaced

Pasadena homeowners often ask

Have a question about your own house? Call (626) 793-7342 and we'll talk it through.

My Craftsman house has no attic insulation. Is it worth adding?

Usually, yes. In the San Gabriel Valley's hot summers, an uninsulated attic lets a lot of heat into the house. Adding insulation helps rooms stay cooler and shortens how long the AC runs.

Should I clean my ducts after wildfire smoke?

If the air coming from your vents smells smoky, or see gray dust around registers, it's a good idea to have the ducts inspected. Ash and soot can settle in the ductwork and keep circulating.

Do you remove old insulation before installing new?

When existing insulation is compressed, wet, moldy or contaminated by rodents, we remove it first. If it's in good shape, we can often add new insulation on top.

Is spray foam or fiberglass better for my attic?

It depends on the attic. Fiberglass is common for standard vented attics. Spray foam suits vaulted ceilings, unvented attics and conversions. We'll recommend one after seeing the space.

Can you work on ducts under a raised floor?

Yes. Many older Pasadena homes have ducts in the crawlspace. We reconnect, seal and re-support those runs, and replace sections that are damaged.

When is the shop open?

Monday to Saturday from 7 AM until 7 PM. Sundays the shop is closed.

Ready for a cooler house?

Give our Pasadena shop a call. Tell us about the attic, the ducts or the dryer, and we'll find a time that works for you.
